As a lefty independent I was once a fan of Sarah Palin. Her opposition to oil corruption in nearby Alaska - especially in opposition to the old school machine boy Senator Stevens impressed, as did her appointment by John McCain.
Even recently I'd give her props for the above, but I can no longer do so.
Sarah's response to the Giffords incident in Arizona is nothing but self damning given her earlier actions. Giffords was targeted as one of 20 representatives in Districts that McCain won that had elected Obama care supporting Democrats - this just as she was putting emphasis on her 'reload' theme.
Sarah is herself a documented threat - all she has done with her evidenced lack of responsibility is target herself.
Postscript: Note that there is only one Representative left from Ms. Palin's list - I searched a little bit for that name, which wasn't immediately apparent - perhaps for the best.
Many of my friends on the left are enraged at the Tea Party for this, as with President Obama last night I urge moderation concerning the remaining followers of the Tea Party. A good verb would be 'Survey', certainly we need no more divisive libel.
Oh, and Rand, don't fuck it all up - you all are starting to look like you might just be a gang of wannabe alcoholic abusers....
There are moderates that would like to support you, and the better quality folks behind you, but as it is that is not possible. It is a certainly a free country, and, FWIW, you are free to self-destruct. God Willing.
