Here's some pics from my road trip back from SW Colorado into the Western Washington 'zone' over Memorial Day. I also took the 14' Lapstrake rowboat onto Lake Powell at Page It was just for a couple of hours and no pics, hopefully a good mental warm up for a multi-week canyon sojourn - if I can handle the solo.
This is Navajo Country, not far from the New Mexico/Arizona State Line.
This is a Nevada mountain range, through a heavy rain shower. It works for me, because I was there, but not sure if it would for others.
Here's some Hyacinth just north of Lakeview Oregon. My first job between High School and College was just a tad north of here, country that will remain forever sweet with the memories of desert forest sweat - every bit as good as getting to shake Phil Knight's hand a couple months later delivering a trade show slide presentation as a PA.
